Larry Lucas began selling paint 49 years ago at a lumber company in Hillsboro Ohio. From there he moved on to Sherwin Williams where he became a manager. Larry was then transferred in 1972 to manage the Athens Ohio store. After selling carpet, paint and decorating material for several years at Sherwin Williams, Larry and Linda decided to open their own business.

Our staff consists of Larry and Linda Lucas founders and owners, Eric Lucas and Todd Lucas, brothers, sister Laureen McClain, as well as Scott Bruch (a 12 year employee), and our newest addition, Trace Buckley. In 1995 Larry and Linda were approached about joining a group of other flooring retailers located across the U.S. and Canada called CCA Global. The goal of the group was to combine purchases, which in turn allows us the ability to negotiate the lowest prices and best warranties available in the industry. The group has now grown to be the largest flooring co-op in the country, with over 1,000 locations nationally, presently known as Carpet One Floor & Home. With the backing of Carpet One, we as a company offer exclusive products and services that no other company can compare with. Also, by being a co-op, the ownership and profits stay local, thus allowing the tax dollars to stay in the community.

Our custom made blinds by Hunter Douglas, Levelor and Kirsch come in almost endless styles, varieties and colors. The guarantee for our blinds is you have a full year to love your blinds, or we will replace them at no cost within the same company and credit your purchase price toward another selection.
